However, that’s not true. It doesn’t matter how far you’ve fallen—you can overcome your addiction and reclaim your life. Solid Ground Wellness offers drug treatment in Riverside and the surrounding areas to those who are ready to live a sober life. We won’t lie: getting back to sober living will not be an easy path. It’s going to take dedication and hard work. However, we will be there every step of the way with you. By the end of our time together, you will be able to proudly say that you’ve beat addiction.

How Alcohol and Drug Treatment Works

Many people have an idea of what addiction treatment is, but they haven’t actually experienced it themselves. To many, this treatment involves living in a rehab facility and going to therapy sessions. However, it’s much more than that. There are a number of different treatment options. It is true that going to an inpatient rehab facility for 28 to 30 days is exactly what some people need. There are other programs, though, that are a better fit for some people. These options are more affordable, allow you to continue working or caring for your family, and give you more independence while also providing all of the tools you need to become sober. While drug and alcohol treatment does include therapy, that’s not all it is. You will have one-on-one therapy, group sessions, classes, and more. You will learn how to handle addiction, triggers, and relapse, but you will also learn about yourself. You and your therapist will dig into your past to determine what led you to drugs and alcohol in the first place. Without dealing with this root cause, you won’t be able to fully deal with your addiction. You’ll end up relapsing because the cause of your addiction will still be there. You can’t simply treat the symptoms.

Outpatient Programs

Outpatient programs allow you to continue living at home, working, and taking care of your family while you also get the help you need for your addiction. You attend therapy and other sessions at our facility a few times a week. This is ideal for those who do not want to live at a facility. You will still receive the same quality of treatment, but you will have more freedom. Going to an inpatient rehab means giving up control for a month. Outpatient programs, on the other hand, leave some of your choices in your hands.

Intensive Outpatient Programs

Intensive outpatient programs or IOP in Riverside are, as the name suggests, a more intensive and in-depth outpatient treatment. Instead of attending sessions several times a week, you will be at our facility five days and up to 15 hours each week. This lets you spend more time learning about addiction and about yourself. You can still work part-time, and you still have control over your housing and other decisions. However, you’re able to work even more closely with other recovering addicts and with your therapists. If you have suffered from addiction for years or have a complex history with addiction, this may be a better option for you.

Partial Hospitalization Program

Another more intensive option is partial hospitalization or PHP. This type of program typically requires you to be at our facility for 30 hours a week. It’s not quite a full inpatient program because you don’t say here 24/7, but you do spend much more time with us than in either of the outpatient programs. Because of this, it can be hard to work or provide childcare during a PHP program. The advantages, however, may outweigh these downsides. A PHP program can truly help those who have a long history of addiction, have relapsed before, or have a severe problem with drugs and alcohol.

Addiction Doesn’t End with Treatment

Addiction is a lifelong condition that you will always have to be aware of and fight against. When you leave one of our programs, you won’t be “cured” because there isn’t a cure for it. However, you will have the tools you need to prevent addiction from taking over your life again. You will be ready to face your triggers and fight against relapse. You’ll feel whole again, and you will have a deeper understanding of your life and what led to your addiction. You also won’t be alone. Even though you may have completed our program, you’ll have a support system in place. We will always be here for you, and we will make certain you have a therapist and other key support personnel in place so you can always find someone to talk to. You will never be alone in your fight for sobriety. Ready to get started? Contact Solid Ground Wellness today.
