Intensive Outpatient Recovery Riverside CA

The intensive outpatient program here at Solid Ground Wellness offers a more focused approach to rehab for those who need more than our standard outpatient program offers. If you are looking for drug rehab in Riverside that will provide you with all of the tools you need to overcome your addiction, but is not as costly or as disruptive as inpatient therapy, this may be the option for you. An IOP rehab can help those who have relapsed or who find that they are in need of more than what an outpatient program provides.

What Is Intensive Outpatient Rehab?

Intensive outpatient rehab is the step in between outpatient therapy and a full inpatient addiction treatment program. As such, it takes some parts from both types of programs and combines them. You don’t live at our facility, but you do spend up to 15 hours a week here. Because of this, the cost is also in between the costs of the other two programs and is typically less than partial hospitalization, which is also a similar type of intensive program with some outpatient benefits.

Like any rehab, though, you will meet with therapists, learn techniques to help you battle addiction and avoid relapse, and do some group sessions. You will build up a support network to help you during your daily life and gain tools you can use for the rest of your life.

How Does It Differ from Other Options?

As with an outpatient drug rehab in Riverside, you will continue to live on your own. You can remain at home, or you can live with a loved one or make other living arrangements. It’s completely your choice. This also means you have a number of freedoms you wouldn’t have in an inpatient program.

However, the biggest difference is the amount of time you spend with us. This means you don’t have as much free time, but for some, that is actually helpful. For some recovering addicts, the worst thing is to be at home without any plans. This can lead to temptation, especially if a former friend who does drugs calls, texts, or drops by. The urge to find something to fill the time or using the time to dwell on things you cannot change can lead to relapse.

The extra time you spend at our facility will teach you additional tools and include more in-depth therapy sessions. Some of these sessions build on the techniques used in standard outpatient therapy, while others are more similar to the techniques you might find in inpatient programs. The overall IOP program is more structured, though, because it is an outpatient program, it does offer flexibility.

Is It Right for Me?

Is going to an intensive outpatient rehab in Riverside the right option for you? There are a few different factors you will want to consider.

If you have gone through an outpatient program before and relapsed, you may want to try the more intensive option. This can help you gain more tools and learn more about what drove you to addiction. You may need to spend more time with a therapist working on overcoming these issues before you can become sober.

Those who have a family may find that inpatient treatment is too stressful due to the commitment it takes. If you don’t want to be away from your family, or if you find that your family is one of your biggest sources of strength and support, an intensive outpatient program may be a better fit for you than inpatient rehab. You will get the help you need, but you will also have your loved ones there to provide support. This mix is ideal for a number of patients.

If you are curious about intensive outpatient therapy and if it’s right for you, the best thing to do is to sit down with one of our counselors and talk about it. We will be able to recommend which type of program seems right for you based off of your history with addiction and your current situation.

What Does Solid Ground Wellness Provide for IOP Therapy?

The intensive outpatient treatment program at Solid Ground Wellness takes place at our facility five days a week. You will typically have weekends to yourself to rest and to spend time with your loved ones. During the five days of on-campus work, you will meet with therapists, attend group sessions, and learn about addiction. Typically, you will spend between nine and fifteen hours per week with us. This is a good amount of time, but it still gives you time to continue to work, take care of children, and acclimate to your new sober life.

Again, the best way to learn about this Riverside drug rehab option is to give us a call. We look forward to discussing intensive outpatient therapy and other treatment options with you.
